Go green with the Alter, a weighty 8.7-ounce torch you can hold in your hand or stand on the table. Its jet flame is single, windproof and adjustable, so you set the size you need. The head angles 90 degrees up or 45 degrees down. Zinc alloy and stainless steel give it a solid feel, and the safety lock slides right to stop accidental sparks. Pair it with a can of butane. To refill, lock it, flip it over and press the can's tip straight into the bottom valve for about 8 seconds.
